I have over 18 years of editorial experience and over 30 years in the field of education. I taught upper level honors and AP math classes for 15 years as well as all levels of mathematics. I was math department head at my school. I currently teach mathematics for two local universities (Calculus 1, Elementary Statistics, College Algebra, and Developmental Math). I teach online and was easily able to switch to online teaching when Covid-19 forced campuses to close.

In 2002, I began my editorial career by freelancing for Harcourt School Publishers. I gradually went from anno checking K-5 mathematics for HSP (back when the pages were mailed back and forth and I edited with a red erasable pen) to being named supervising editor for Grade 4 and 5 for several projects.

I survived the transition from HSP to HMH and also worked as senior editor of math for a local small development firm before I launched out with my own company in 2006. In between, I wrote/edited for many companies, it seems like every company small or large, and was often named a subject matter expert and/or content lead.
